Neue Veröffentlichungen auf IMPORTANT RECORDS

Important Records erweitern ihr Programm um drei neue Veröffentlichungen. Neben zwei Kompositionen der französischen Elektronik-Pionierin Eliane Radigue ist nun auch der achte Teil von Merzbows dreizehnteiliger Konzeptreihe über Japans Vogelwelt erhältlich. ELIANE RADIGUE "Vice Versa, etc" 2CD
We have decided to reissue this object as a double CD, with the tape played respectively forwards and backwards, at four different speeds, corresponding to the standards of the tape recorders of the time. This will allow dedicated listeners to experiment with simultaneous playback of the work's different versions, recreating the conditions of the original installation. Vice Versa was issued once in a gallery edition of 10 copies on magnetic tape. 

ELIANE RADIGUE "Triptych" CD
This three-part composition, with its great humility and contemplative simplicity, heralded a new period of work and was the first in a series of masterpieces inspired by Tibetan Buddhism. Triptych has never been released at all. Both include archival photos and liner notes.
 
MERZBOW "Bird Series Vol 8" CD
Volume 8 in this 13 part series. Merzbow's 13 Japanese Birds is a 13 month/13 CD set that begins January 2009 and ends February 2010. These are pressed in a limited edition of 1000 and once they are sold out they will not be repressed. This series was inspired by Olivier Messaien's Catalogue D'Oiseaux. Masami Akita, herein known as Merzbow, returns to his drumset to accompany his complex analogue noise. His prowess as a drummer rivals his abilities as a noise artist making this an essential and exciting entry into the Merzbow canon.
