125 Records was born on Oct. 23, 2000, the day Joe Mallon appeared on the TV game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". He made it to the Hot Seat, and when Regis asked him what he planned to do with his winnings, Joe responded that he and his wife, Sue Trowbridge, wanted to start a record label. 125 Records is that label.

125 Records is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The label's primary focus is working with artists located in Northern California.
