MW041 In Aeternam Vale - La Piscine 12" Minimal Wave is proud to present a second 12” single from our French favorites, In Aeternam Vale. This one is in the same vein as the Dust Under Brightness / Highway Dark Veins 12” we released last May. The single features an epic, pioneering, late 80s underwater techno masterpiece called La Piscine (1989) accompanied by a slow, dark, drugged out 15 minute number on the flip side entitled Calling Somewhere (1990) – which sounds especially relevant today. Neither of these tracks have ever been released before. The pressing is limited to 999 hand-numbered copies, the first 500 are pressed on 160 gram clear highlighter yellow vinylhoused in matte heavy weight printed sleeve and black paper innersleeve. After last year’s successful Cities Of Steel And Neon album release, In Trance 95 came together once again and have been working diligently in the studio on all kinds of new material. Aside from their recent raved about shows in Europe, this cassette is a taste of what they have been up to at Airdawn Studio in Athens, Greece. Quite dark, industrial and sometimes experimental (with glimpses of smokey dance floor atmosphere), these tracks are stark, heavy and cold. For the moment, the release is available as a limited edition cassette of 200 copies with stamped numbers, 100 black (odd numbers) and 100 red (even numbers). Grab it while you can here, $10.
